Global Fire Equipment (GFE) Engineer Guide
Juno Net / Junior: practical field notes for testing, disablements, logic and restoration. Menu wording can vary by firmware and site configuration.
Before changing a live system: agree the test/disablement with the responsible person, identify any ARC/fire-routing connection and plant interfaces, decide what must remain operational, record every temporary change, and restore/verify everything before leaving.
GLOBAL FIRE EQUIPMENT (GFE)
Juno Net / Junior
GFE Juno Net has a dedicated Caretaker Test Mode for one-man testing and supports selective disablement for recurring service needs.
Protocol / ecosystemGFE addressable families
One-man / walk test
- Enter Caretaker Test Mode using the panel procedure for the installed Juno Net revision.
- Devices placed under caretaker test can be tested without filling the normal event log with every individual test.
- Observe the TEST state and ensure the mode is exited after the test route is complete.
Disable / enable
- Use the disablement functions for the required scope.
- Juno Net supports selective disablement: individual devices can be pre-designated so the front-panel selected-detectors disablement control affects only those devices.
- Review the disabled queue and clear all temporary disablements.
Cause & effect / groups
- Selective disablement is useful for recurring operational needs but must be clearly documented.
- Juno Net programming includes device reporting behaviours and network/node configuration; retain the site file before changes.
- Do not confuse a selective disablement list with a fire zone.
Engineer notes
- On networked Juno Net systems, understand main-panel versus node behaviour.
- Use GFE manuals for the exact firmware/revision.
- Record which devices are members of any selective-disablement set.
