Siemens Engineer Guide
Cerberus PRO: practical field notes for testing, disablements, logic and restoration. Menu wording can vary by firmware and site configuration.
Before changing a live system: agree the test/disablement with the responsible person, identify any ARC/fire-routing connection and plant interfaces, decide what must remain operational, record every temporary change, and restore/verify everything before leaving.
SIEMENS
Cerberus PRO
Cerberus PRO uses a structured object/device tree and authorised access levels. Exact interface and menu names vary across panel generations and regions.
Protocol / ecosystemC-NET / FDnet family
One-man / walk test
- Enter Maintenance/Inspection mode using the installed panelβs authorised workflow.
- Select the required group, loop or device and enable Walktest where supported.
- Remember that devices in Walktest can be disconnected from normal logic/events; follow Siemens warnings and site procedure.
- Disable Walktest and verify normal monitoring is restored.
Disable / enable
- Log in at the required authorised level.
- Navigate to the device/object in the tree and use Disable/Enable from its control/shortcut menu.
- Use the real-time disablement/event list to find and re-enable disabled objects where supported.
- Confirm the common disable indication clears when all required devices are restored.
Cause & effect / groups
- Cerberus PRO logic/configuration is engineering-tool driven and should be modified only with the correct trained workflow.
- After configuration changes, verify logical relationships and update related network-panel configuration where required.
- Retain the configuration project and revision.
Engineer notes
- Do not generalise North American Modular-panel instructions to every UK Cerberus PRO model; use the exact product documentation.
- Siemens online documentation is highly model-specific, which is useful for verifying menu paths.
- Prove output activation/deactivation separately from detector disablement.
